The Science, Engineering, & Analysis career field civilians are vital to the Army's mission, providing essential technical and ​analytical support to Soldiers. These professionals handle advanced material research, design, development, production, and ​field support, including missiles, tanks, ammunition, software, food, shelter, and clothing. They support various activities ​throughout the acquisition life cycle, such as analysis, acquisition, experimentation, intelligence, operational planning, testing, ​training, medical, and logistics functions. Many work with the Army Futures Command, focusing on transforming and modernizing the Army to equip future warfighters with the necessary concepts, capabilities, and structures to succeed in combat.
